My Story

Hi there! My name is Tracey - the maker behind Sugarwood Woodworking, based in Sugarhouse—a vibrant suburb of Salt Lake City, Utah. I founded Sugarwood four years ago, but I’ve been working with wood for nearly a decade. My love for the arts—photography, music, anything creative—naturally led me to the joy of shaping beautiful wood by hand. That’s when I truly found my passion.

My garage has become my happy place: a creative haven where I get to design, build, and grow. It’s where every piece comes to life, and it’s also how Sugarwood got its name.

My most popular creations are the Sourdough Bread Knife and Breadboard Sets—each one crafted with care and never mass-produced. I believe in keeping my work personal and original, so every item is unique, just like the people who bring them home.

I’m always exploring new ideas and pushing my craft forward. On this site, you’ll find a variety of pieces made with intention and heart. I hope something here speaks to you the way it spoke to me while I was creating it.
